Hey pet pros,
You Asked. We Listened.
Last year, you asked us 783 questions on social media. We read every one. Then, we turned your most common what-ifs into a Q&A blog built from real conversations in the PCI community.
Interested in covering multiple services? Wondering if you’re really covered for that chinchilla-sitting job?

Q&A Snapshot: The Questions Pet Pros Asked Most
“I’m not just a dog walker. Can I cover all my services?”
About 35% of you asked this kind of question, so you’re not alone in wondering.
You don’t need separate policies for every service. Coverage is based on your highest-risk service and can often extend to other services. There’s a chart in the blog that shows what else your policy could cover.
“Can I be covered for work through apps like Rover, Wag, or Sniffspot?”
If you’re doing pet care through an app (like Rover or Wag), you’re usually covered:
A Meowtel sitter taking a cat-sitting job. Covered.
A Sniffspot host renting out their pool. Not covered.
Here’s the key: your PCI policy is meant for pet care you perform. We explain exactly where that line is in the blog.
“Am I covered for more than dogs and cats?”
Most common companion animals (not kept for farm, breeding, or commercial reasons) are covered.
That means yes to rabbits. No to horses.
Yes to an axolotl. No to a chimpanzee.
But it depends on the type of animal and why it’s kept. See the covered animals cheat sheet in the blog.
These questions came straight from pet pros like you.
Ever wondered something about coverage? Chances are good someone else did, too.
